| Springfield Puppet Festival |

| The Springfield Arts Commission, in collaboration with the Library Youth Services Department, and with community sponsorship, produces the Springfield Puppet Festival each February. The festival was first held in 1994. It attracts over 1,200 children and adults annually, from our local area as well as out of town. |

| The festival, unique in the Northwest, features performances by first-rate professional puppeteers. Over the course of five weeks of consecutive Saturdays, the youth workshops teach students the processes of puppet making, script writing, and performance. |
