| In 2003 the City of Springfield received a gift of his work from California artist Luigi Testa, consisting of twenty-four sculptures and ten oil paintings with a value of $97,000. Mr. Testa gifted the work after learning of our City's commitment to public art. Pieces from this collection are on display at the Springfield Public Library, and have also been exhibited at the Emerald Art Center and local businesses. | ||

Portrait from SAC Permanent Art Collection Sites for permanent outdoor display for other pieces from the collection are presently under consideration. The Springfield Arts Commission's Lending to Business program is available to display further segments of this large collection. In 2006, the Commission established guidelines for a small work permanent collection, to be displayed on a rotational basis within the City Hall building. This art is acquired through adjudicated purchase and the acceptance of gifts, within the guidelines of size and media established by the Commission. |
